This is the last challenge. : (  I have had such a great time keeping up with this and seeing everyone's ideas.  I will miss it!!!  Thanks, Lori for all of the work you put into this.  It has been WONDERFUL.

My take:  I took the idea of the words and picked paper that had words on the background.

The challenge is to do a layout on something I am thankful for.  There is a lot I am thankful for and I am glad this challenge has encouraged me to think of all of it.  I usually scrap my kids with gratitude layouts but I decided this one would be about my hubby.

Challenge: Use what's out on your scrap table....LOL.  You should SEE my table.  I had the journaling paper, the pictures, the glitter and the brads on my table.

This challenge was to use more than 6 pics, no bigger than 4x6.  We have been doing softball and baseball for so long that I thought it'd be a perfect way to scrap some of the years.

This challenge was to "regift" something on your layout. My regift item are the letters on the page. They were given to me by a friend after she got her Cricket so she no longer needed these.

Incorporate boxes or blocks on your layout.  Well, I actually had a really hard time with this one!! So, I "made" a block and there are boxes in the pics.  Some days my creativity just doesn't flow!!! LOL

This challenge was to use round items on your layout. Two of them had to be more than 3 inches.  For my layout all of the circles are more than 3 inches.

There is a woman I know from going to a monthly crop. She always makes the most beautiful layouts and uses all sorts of flowers--even big ones.  I have never had the confidence to use a large flower but here it is for this challenge:  Do something you haven't done before on your layout:

I had done another challenge where I had to use a sketch and it just so happens it has 6 pictures on it.  (which is the day's challenge).  I have another layout I just did with 6 as well in case this is cheating but I like this one better.

Birthday Challenge # 7

This challenge was to use 3 ribbons on the layout.  My take:


There is gold ribbon at the top which is a little hard to see--then there is burgandy flower ribbon and brown ribbon at the bottom.

Once again I am going out of order. LOL  But it's all good.

This challenge was to use a banner in the layout.  I think it would have looked better with a more "elegant" set of pictures but I still like it:

This challenge was to use journaling in a way that you don't usually do.  I tried to make it the focus of my layout by writing around the circles.

I know. So where is 2 and 3??  Well, I am still working on them so they are a little out of order.  I will be posting them soon.

 In this one, we had to pick 4 "ingredients" for a cake and then each ingredient got assigned a supply.
I picked:
Chocolate Cake:  Dark Brown Cardstock
Cherry Filling:   Patterned paper with Red
Cream Cheese Icing:  Metal on Layout (The white is painted metal)
Icing Lettering:  Rub on Alphabet

Apron Strings Challenge #1

Apron Strings is having a challenge for most of the days during their 6th year birthday month!!  I am trying to keep up with it.  I like doing challenges b/c I feel like it helps me think "out of the box".  And it's fun!!

This challenge was to use ribbon in a different way.

Honestly this blog is created just for my scrappy challenges.  I wish I had more time to really blog but in this season of my life I just don't.  And that is ok.
